Wow that is low! Almost as low as the cc pump on my car... I'd have thought you'll be fine TBH, having things low around the wheel areas is alright because they go up and down with the suspension so your chances of grazing on speedbumps etc are low.

Edit: Amongst other things, if you made them flat would you have exhaust clearance issues?

The new bars look also quite heavy compare to OEM.Are they from aluminium or steel? Are they much heavier?

More than likely, it prob a good idea keeping them low as then they get battered not the car i suppose

there steel from what i can tell. and yeah they are a fair bit heavier

With the magnet you can only distinguish it is stainless steel or not. You cannot know if it is aluminum, only from the weight!Big Grin

sorry but you are wrong. stainless the magnet just sticks ever so slightly and with aluminium it dose not stick atoll. Try it with a aluninium drinks can and you'll see :biggrin::biggrin:
