russelllinn Just got back from the garage and this is the code I have got come up, looks like that'll be my prob then, it's been fueling really bad too, used nearly quarter of a tank on 45 miles!!
P0141 O2Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank #1 Sensor #2)
Strange thing is though we unplugged the front sensor after resetting the code to try and throw another code up to double check which sensor it was and no code came up, now plugged it all back together and driven home and still no engine light, time will tell but don't wanna use it with it fueling like that!!
OEM part though £198 :blink:
I had the same problem a while ago on my IS300 and the fault was intermittent until it completely failed and the car was using fuel like there was no tomorrow.
I paid approx £180 for the sensor from Lexus Parts Direct. You can get them a cheaper from the US.

toxo Yeah it will eat fuel with a broken lambda sensor. Best get it replaced before you go through £198 of fuel
PS PM me the part number if you've got it and I'll see what price I can get it for. Likely to be 15%-25% cheaper than retail.

steviewevie That code is specifically showing that there's a malfunction in the heater circuit of the sensor (it heats it up to make it work properly). So that's more reliably showing that it is indeed the sensor compared to some other codes which involve the sensor (and possibly other things as well).
It's either the sensor, or the wiring to the ECU, or the ECU itself. By far the most likely cause is a failing sensor.
Thanks Steve I think that it will most likely be the sensor as it sounds the same as Alam had below, best be it's gotta be cheaper than an ECU
