Someone asked for it mate, so thought i'd post it again  at least if they search now they will get 2 decent results :laugh:

Right so i started this yesterday and as woz says it certainly does take time, Ive glued the pocket bracket in, filled it and sanded it down.....by then it was past 11pm and thought that will do for tonight!!.....there are still a few minor imperfections, would it be worth putting some primer on at this stage and then sanding again, or get it perfect before applying the primer and sanding.......

Yes, it can be worth spraying it then taking a look, because the primer will let you better see how the surface is looking. Keep going till you're 100% happy with it, you don't want to end up installing it and then spottng some imperfections you wish you'd sanded more !

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

For sure mate, it just takes a while though hey:cursing:LOL!! Theres a few bits thats im going to sand down further tonight, followed by a good wash as i want to get the primer on tonight.....need it ready for the weekend.....is it worth putting more than 1 coat of primer, or should i not bother and add more coats of the top coat?

DJ Wozza Some more info to add (that I had posted elsewhere)
If you are fitting the Head Unit directly to the unit rather than using a cage, the inner trim piece above can be glued and sanded/shaped and you end up with this

Close up the line can be seen, this is only because enough time wasn't taken to ensure it was perfectly joined and flattened off. This is quite time consuming,
but it can be achieved so it looks like one complete housing piece rather than two seperate pieces joined. The extra time is well worth it

Just remember this modification takes a lot of time and patience, if you don't have both, it won't result in you being happy with the result.
Good Luck !!
