I used to have a sub in my first car, only a Vibe 12" but it was incredible. this was around 7 years ago and it was one withe amp and sub built into the box.

So I would like to do this again, provided its not too hard?

I remember having to buy a wiring kit for £20 and had a mate wire it in, although all my mates that way inclined have fled the country (perhaps because they know this time would come again lol)

So I thinking of buying something like this
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200805265625?s...500wt_1414
and a wiring kit and getting a pro to wire it.

Is it possible to ass this to a standard lexus head unit? and how much would it cost roughly to fit?

Does that setup have a built in amp?

It not too hard to install a sub. You'll need a line to RCA converter to steal the signal from the rear speakers for the amp.

yep all built in.

Can i use connectors in the wiring so when I Taxi bands about I can lift it out and fill the boot with guitars?

and does that mean i'll lose signal to the rear 6x9's or simply share it?

Yes you could lift it out easily. And you'd share the Signal.
