there are a total of 5 bearings in the SC unit.
2 rear rotor bearings
2 forward rotor bearings and 2 oil seals - not possible to buy these
1 drive shaft oil seal
1 pulley bearing
If i was doing a strip i would get the 2 rear bearings and also the front pulley bearing, for the drive shaft oil seal you will need to measure that when the unit is apart. I got mine from bearingboys.co.uk
forget the coupler we dont have it installed.
for oil use a HD gear oil
seal takes about 2 or 3 days to arrive.... pn for the font bearing is shown on the pic mate. cant remember the nachi bearing number tho.
i would suggest ordering everything and wait for a weekend or long weekend time.
worst case you can put a filter on the end of the pipework!
for info the clutch assy is made by warner electric and it is a "world clutch"...that took a while to find also! Dont bother calling them to get spare parts either - they just say refer to eaton etc.
Best go to a bearing supplier and give them the dimentions of the bearing for the front pulley
Original NACHI-FUJIKOSHI CORP PN is: 30BG04S13-2DST2 SIZE ID:30mm x OD:47mm x W:22mm its used in airconditioning unit clutches. Its easier to find than a few years ago!
wow, nice read
i guess i was a day to late with my thread in the workshop section *g*
as a small update the proper viton drive shaft seals can now be easily found on ebay for under £10.
Also for those that have the balls and equipment there are now kits for the main rotor bearings and seals- a real overhaul kit inc the clutch bearing for about £60 which i think is a bit much TBH.
you will need a 10T hydraulic press though to press the shaft out of the rotors and then set up the rotor timing and position on the shaft  out the range of most people though.
However I have made contact with an overhaul place in poland and UK for some prices of a rebuild for those that might be interested.
very intresting seen stripped turbos but never a stripped charger,
Sorry to bring up such an old thread but Rob, please can you provide a how to guide on servicing/stripping down and rebuilding a charger? It would be much appreciated.
