not any more Sad coming home from work, temp gauge is at cold when started. After a couple of miles reaches normal....then all of a sudden it starts to drop! :O :S and keeps dropping till the last notch. I pull over thinking if i leave it idleing it'l warm up again. It does so, so i set off again. Same again! WHAT THE HELL!

Going to give the garage a phone in the morning! What do you guys have to say?!

Speak to the garage, could be a stuck thermostat, or perhaps an airlock.

Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

Like Stevie says, call the garage that did the works, they may know straight away,
If it is a sticky thermostat, as for driving it, it's not so bad as the thermostat being stuck closed!!!!!, but still, if it's not right don't drive it any further than the garage that repaired it. doubt a new thermostat will cost too much.

But we may be barking up the wrong tree!!! so go get it checked out bud.

It will use a lot of fuel because the ECU will think the car is cold. Thats the problem mine was having until the in-line thermostat went in. I drove mine with no issues, just take it easy.

Double-check with the garage that they're happy for you to drive it like that (just in case), but it should be ok as 2tongues said. When your car is cold normally, you shouldn't really rev it hard and stuff like that, because the engine works/lubricates better when warm - so just drive it gently.

I'm soo soo angry right now! I got the thermostat replaced yesterday. It was gubbed, completely out of its guide thing. So last night and today, perfect! Temp gauge read as normal, then tonight after taking the car upto about 5k revs in 5th gear I think, then temp gauge starts moving dwn again! Same story as before, let it idle the temp goes up to normal, drive it, it goes down. Heating is very poor also! Surely it can't be another faulty thermostat. Was it related to me 'giving it some'?
