DJ Wozza Head unit will go in the for sale section soon, then if no luck, it will go on Ebay. Did you look at the video and see the "other new toy" Shaz ?

I did mate although i didnt see it through to the end as my kids were jumping all over me, just seen it now......take it you referring to the freeview tuner, nice one mate , was going to look into this aswell at some point, send us some detials of what unit you got/price etc.

Came accross my old Alpine HU/changer that i took out of the merc, before i got the IS the other day, as i needed the AI net cable from the cd changer (the one with the new unit for the ipod unit wasnt long enough to get to the boot)......brought back some memories!! Probably worth nowt now, paid £500 for it about 12 odd years ago!

Well its been a while now since i put the unit in and about 2 weeks ago my rear headrest screens arrived!! They came 2 days before i had to go up to huddersfield with the 2 littluns and really wanted to get them fitted for the journey and due to the lack of time I didnt get a chance to take any pictures while doing the install!

So that night i started after 11pm to get the screens fitted into the headrests......took about 2 -2.5 hours. Had just finished (doing this in the loft as my tools are up there and ive set up a little work bench) and i heard buzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz and theres a maahhhoooooosive wasp thats got in :ohmy:Confusedcared:........i hate wasps/bees with a passion so there i am at about 2 in the morning with a mop swinging at the :cursing:er...crashing and banging........so then it gets caught in a big cob web and i thought thats ok it will die there........nope.......goes bezerk trying to get free after a few minutes it drops......went to find it and it flies straight to my head swung at it and got it!!:biggrin:Big Grin....here it is

Anyway the following evening i had to put put them in the car....again started late must have been about 11pm and didnt take any pics........I had already fed the power cables from the head unit through to the centre console when i fitted the headunit.

All cables are hidden and under the carpet, i didnt end up removing the seats as it was dark and didnt want to end up loosing any bolts......feeding the cables from the centre console to under the driver seat would have been much easier if the seat was removed, however i just managed it. Neighbours must have thought wtf is he doing out there at midnight in the rain!!

Last thing to do was to earth the screens, so used the cig lighter.....for information the earth is the pink not the white, as i popped a fuse!! I will take some more pics of the screens and the hidden cables when i get a chance, but heres a pic i took the other day.

Needless to say the kids love it!!:thumbup1:

SHAHZ Last thing to do was to earth the screens, so used the cig lighter.....for information the earth is the pink not the white, as i popped a fuse!! I will take some more pics of the screens and the hidden cables when i get a chance, but heres a pic i took the other day.

The pink is the live wire on the IS200 according to the wiring diagrams, and the white/black wire earth.

Please remember though folks, this is a general forum and it's worth saying which car you're referring to

Thats what i thought, hence the fuse blew so checked with a multimeter. Also the actual metal prong that the the clip slides on to says 12v on the prong for the white cable:blink:..
