Trying times...
all the best kam for you and your wife-we recently adopted a special needs child so there are other options albeit not ideal-some friends of mine were told they would most likely never have kids and after 3 years of ivf now have lovely twins-keep your chin up mate sometimes things arent as bad as they seem-good luck with the mri scan -
That's awful, really sorry to hear about that. Hope the MRI results are as good as you could hope for, though. Sounds like you've got your priorities right though.
Thank you all for your kind words. We're due at the hospital in the next hour to get the MRI results. Fingers crossed.
Sorry to hear this Kam, hope all goes well today. I can understand why you have chosen to keep this from your family, theres no point in telling them while things are uncertain and worry them, fingers crossed also for you bro
Got the MRI results yesterday.
Cancer is in the womb- as expected (wife is booked in for a hysterectomy next week)- that's the bad news.
The good news is that the cancer hasn't spread to her overies (so surogacy may be an option in the future). Also told our parents last night- they didn't take the news too well, but we all remain positive and there is support avaliable to us from both sets of families.
Macmillan have also been in touch- sometimes its good to talk to a 3rd person (other than family and friends).
thats terrible news mate,
its something ive always worried about for the future.
I hope everything works out for and you end up with the child you deserve.
