We are pleased to announce the prices and details for tickets for JAE 2009.

As you probably already know, we have booked an OJC club stand for up to 20 cars (it is possible to extend this if there is sufficient interest, provided we are given enough notice from members to arrange this with the JAE organisers), plus an attached camping area (next to the club stand).

We are organising generators so that we can have lighting and a sound system etc for music.

All of this involves some up-front costs for the club, and of course being a new club we have no existing funds to call on. So we need to add a small amount to the ticket prices in order to help cover the club's costs, which we hope members will understand, especially since we are trying to keep this to a minimum.

The basic price for advance tickets for JAE is £20 per person (or £25 on the day). Edit - just to clarify, this ticket allows you in for the whole weekend, so the price is the same whether you are coming for just one day, or two or three.

On top of this, we need to ask for an additional £2 per car (not per ticket) if you want to park on the club stand (assuming that you have a Japanese car, non-Jap cars will have to stay in the main car park). Plus an additional £1 if you want to camp, per tent. Of course you can still choose to camp if you have a non-Jap car (just that you won't have your car near the tent). As explained above, this extra money will help offset the costs for the stand/camping areas/equipment.

Postage and packing for an order of one or more tickets to the same address is £2, to cover signed-for delivery.

So for example, if you are bringing one car with two people, and you wish to park on the club stand, and camp with one tent then that is 2 x £20 tickets, plus £2 for the stand, plus £1 for camping, plus £2 P&P, for a grand total of £45.

Payment can be made via PayPal, at [email protected]

Please include your username and car registration (and address of course) in your PayPal payment details. Also please indicate if you will be camping.

Closing date for ticket applications is 24th August. Tickets will be sent out two weeks before the event.

Below is the list of people who have said that they're coming (or probably coming) on the stand, taken from the other JAE thread. This will be updated to indicate who has paid for their tickets, and also with anyone else who wants to join in.

so in my case, as im not on stand and will probally be coming for one day (Saturday) I would pay £22?

Saying that, I wont mind paying the extra £2 even though im not on the stand, to support the club

I thought it was said some where that glass WAS allowed.
Please could you make sure off this Ian.
I know that it was not allowed this year, but for some reason I think it is this year .

Glass isn't allowed except for in spirit bottles, and those must not be left laying around. No beer bottles/wine bottles/drinking glasses.

Adrian this is what Fuggles from JAE says:
After the success last year we have decided to retain the policy on not allowing glass on to the site. Glass when broken is a menace and at a site where there are lots of children using the facilities both at our show and at other weekends means we cannot afford to allow glass on to site. In addition tyres aren't cheap and glass is prone to eating them as well !

Whilst we accept this may be inconvenient for some people we hope you understand the reasons why we are doing this and accept it is for very good reason. To confirm, drinking glasses wont be allowed nor will beer bottles and wine bottles. However spirit bottles will be allowed but these must be disposed of aproporiately. In addition no spirit bottles may left laying around on any club stand.

Hope this helps Adrian

Ok it must have been the spirit bottles that I remembered about.
Because I remember thinking " oh yes will get some Morgans and coke this year "
So we are both right then :drink:
