Thinking about getting one shortly, what are the positives and negatives? My main concern is the physical size as it seems like quite a large phone to accommodate a 3.7" screen........does it still fit nicely in a pocket?

I hope this hasn't already been covered somewhere else, but I know a few said last week that they had ordered Desires and I just wanted to see how you were all getting on with them?

Looks a very nice phone....have they made any improvements to the camera, the one in my touch HD wasnt very good:thumbdown:

Although the battery is not holding its charge to well (i am hoping with a few more charges it will improve)
I must say i am very impressed with the phone, the phone is the same size as the iphone so i am not sure it that suits every one.
The interenet is lightining fast and the phone has every thing i wanted.
The camera in 5 Meg camera and seems to take a good photo for a phone.
You can fit upto a 64 meg sd card for all your downloads, it come supplied with a 4 gig card.
So all in all very happy, i just need the phone to hold more charge and i have a the ideal phone for me.

I must say i am very impressed with the phone, the phone is the same size as the iphone so i am not sure it that suits every one.

IIRC the battery on my old HD was really good, so may just need a few cycles of charge/discharge to get it up to speed:thumbup1:

I've read that battery life seems to be the only complaint on the desire, battery only seems to last one day at most with medium use - isn't a problem for me but worth considering if you like to go several days on one charge.
Re the camera, reviews have been pretty good that unlike previous HTC handsets, this one finally has quite a good camera - not on par with sonyericsson of course who have this area totally covered, but decent enough.

Cheers for that Lexusboy, sounds like it's brilliant then, lightening fast was the description I was hoping to hear! Actually from an iPhone user that's quite a compliment too as I think that's the area where Apple did do things well.

But more importantly this thing is FAST! And I mean crazy fast, I've never experienced anything like it on a phone before. Up till now the iPhone has always been the benchmark for the smoothest experience, but this is better, and the browser loads pages at an incredible pace.
Makes my current android phone feel ancient, I really want one now! :biggrin:

Just had a play with one of these and have to say I'm seriously impressed, first of all HTC sense really completes android, never realised it did so much, much more than just a front end like what the xperia has.
