parthiban That's for single carriageways though isn't it, if I was on a dual carriageway with no signs I'd expect 70mph unless stated otherwise.

Further to this, check out the relevant section of the Highway Code (123) here. It says that the speed limit is 30mph in built-up areas (as defined by having street lamps that are a certain distance apart) unless otherwise indicated by signs. The dual carriageway stuff is only for non-built-up areas (i.e. no street lights).

You speed freaks, you should slow down when tou see one to be safe

old cams you can do 5mph more.

but with new ones are alot less.

I was flashed on a dual carriageway doing 56MPH (on the speed limiter of the lorry) and nothing happened even though the limit was 40, lucky me!! either that or I forgot to put the number plate on to the trailerBig Grin
