I've had my desire for a few weeks, took a bit to get used to after having an iphone but as has been said it is very fast!

The iphone still has a lot more apps, but hopefully there will be more coming for android soon.

I have to agree with Dannymo the desire needs some more Apps.

How are you guys getting along with your battery life?
Mine last around a day.

Other than that the phone is spot on.:thumbup1:

My battery's lasting about a day too at the moment, but that's because I keep playing with it! I think it will probably stretch to 2 days once I drop back to normal usage which is fine with me but that's definitely the disadvantage to all that power.

Yep they're a bit behind on apps but that's purely because the iPhone has a few years on Android. People are switching over now because they're bored of apple only releasing the same phone over and over, and they're discovering that android is quite a nice OS. It won't be long before the android market catches up Smile

Btw has anyone tried out the google navigation? It's surprisingly good, and with voice recognition it's so easy to set up. I can see portable navs not being happy about this, and I'm thinking we might see it integrated into cars soon (didn't a few manufacturers do integrated TomToms for a while?)

Lexusboy What have you down loaded so far Parthiban?

Nothing really so far, just put on all the utility apps I had on my old phone that I need.

Are there any worth getting?

Cool, the stuff I've got at the mo (most of which were on my old phone too)

RAC Traffic
Movies
ASTRO (need a file manager)
Barcode Scanner
Speedview (a funky GPS speedo)
Urbanspoon
2010 World Cup (has all the match times and will have results as they come)
Google Sky Map
A few pointless but addictive games Smile

My battery life was about a day to start with, but since I've stopped constantly playing with it I can get 2 or 3 days now.

You guys should try doodle jump if you haven't before. Its just a daft game but it's really addictive. It's good that you can try apps and games for a day then get a refund from the market, great for trying out new stuff!

Cool I'll have to try that out. I didn't actually know you could get a refund on apps, although I don't generally buy any unless it's something I really want.

Just added a new longer life battery to my phone and it is lasting at least two days now.
So i would recommend you changing the standard battery.
The only down side is the phone is half the size again with the new back cover that come with the phone so you can use the battery
