Am I right in thinking that the Altezza (3S-GE) version of this exhaust bolts straight on to the IS200 ? Or is it model-year dependent ?

I think that there isn't an IS200 version of this exhaust, so I presume it's the Altezza one that's used, just wondering if anything awkward is involved in fitting ?

Yes mate, they are the same. Bear in mind that the HKS silent exhaust are not so quiet as you might expect. At least this is what i thought. My HKS exhaust is loud.

The price of them seems to have gone up enormously from Japan (like, over £500). Found one here for less though. Still having a look around.

Yes Stevie, my HKS silent exhaust is not so quiet as i thought. It got much louder when i fitted a sports cat. Here is a video of how my car sounds:

Thanks, interesting. To be fair though, it's hard to tell supercharger noise vs induction noise vs exhaust noise.

A turbo acts pretty well as a silencer, so I'd be suprised if it was loud on my own car.

The OEM exhaust is absolutely fine on mine with the turbo. Though it's 10 years old so will not last forever. It's for looks really ! Big Grin
