Lexus owners in Japan have complained that the front wheels of the LS don't return to the center position fast enough after making a turn. Fixing the issue will require mechanical and software changes, a Toyota spokesperson said

It maybe worth owners of these cars contacting there local dealers to see if their cars could be effected..

Now I guess whenever Toyota announces a recall it's going to be more newsworthy, and as Lexusboy says, the American car companies would love to make more of it.
Steering which doesn't self-centre as much as some people want it to doesn't really sound like a big safety issue to me.

08-04-2017, 01:50 AM #4Probably just something similar to car recalls from other manufacturers which go on all the time, and aren't reported. The hysteria over the recent Toyota issues was ridiculous and blown out of all proportion.
Now I guess whenever Toyota announces a recall it's going to be more newsworthy, and as Lexusboy says, the American car companies would love to make more of it.
