After applying the oil & refitting the filter i took it for a drive and it seemed a bit sluggish on idle, infact worse and then it cut out....gave it a good thrashing and it was idling much better...excuse the blown bulb:tongue_smilie:

......at this point i was quite sure i had over oiled the filter:blushing:, took it out and there was oil in the air box.......:Fish: so took it out cleaned the airbox washed the filter again.....Oiled again this morning (correct amount for IS filter is 1.25oz (i had used about 2 yesterday:Chair

Bit of an update, serviced the car yesterday so gave the filter a clean....boy did it need it.....didnt take no before pics but heres a bucket with the water that flowed through the filter....

hock:Resetting the ECU John, you only need to leave the fuses out for a few seconds really, 30 seconds is recommended. So 5 minutes will be more than enough and it will definitely have reset if you took out the right fuses (ECTS and EFI).

The K&N cleaning kit (cleaning solution plus oil) is around a tenner. Opie Oils have it here, or you will find it on eBay (search for "K&N cleaning").
