but you dont have a purple one yet either!

Next on the list is to fix more broken parts. I have new drop links to go on to try and cure the knocking over bumps, but they need cutting off, and i couldnt be bothered on sunday. I also discovered that the diff seal has gone on the gearbox, so its pissing oil out everywhere.

This is now an urgent fix, as i dont need to be replacing the whole gearbox. Unfortunately its quite a big job, and as i was told today im not getting paid on time, its going to be a real pain in the arris buying a new seal from toyota

Nothing is ever simple is it? Fix one thing then something else breaks

Well I guess if it were already decatted then you wouldn't notice any power changes

Which seal is it that you need? One of the diff -> driveshaft ones? I hate gearbox oil, one of the nastiest substances ever created IMHO!

Yeah the passenger side diff oil seal. Its going to be fun stripping the hub off to get the driveshaft out

You don't need to, the hub can stay where it is. You just need a big pry bar to get the shaft out in situ. Can get the driveshaft out in about 10 minutes that way and not have to worry about wheel alignment afterwards.

Seal is £15 from what I remember. I only have part numbers for the E153 box to hand though and your car will have an S54.

Your going to have to explain that one to me then. If theres an easy way to do it im up for it. Ive just got to get hold of the seal though. I know toyota wont order me one without me paying for it first.

I can get the part number from the BGB. Im sure there is one for the N/A
