Brakes Failed?

Today now they is hardly any braking available when pressing the brake.
The pedal gets to the furthest point and then I have some braking, but hard braking the car doesnt stop.
I checked the brake fluid, which was awfully low, so I topped it up, but no difference?
Could it be some air in the system? or problems with my brake pads, I thought if it was the pads, then it would make scraping noises'?
Any help appreciated...... hopefully its something I can fix at home and avoid a garage bill?

I noticed yesterday that my brakes were compressing when pressing it, which was unusual
Today now they is hardly any braking available when pressing the brake.
The pedal gets to the furthest point and then I have some braking, but hard braking the car doesnt stop.

Could it be some air in the system? or problems with my brake pads, I thought if it was the pads, then it would make scraping noises'?

i checked and cannot see any, all of a sudden its happened in 2 days which is quick, must be a leak somewhere, the garage replaced the driver side brake pipe as it was heavly correded during MOT, maybe the passenger side has gone?

i checked and cannot see any, all of a sudden its happened in 2 days which is quick, must be a leak somewhere, the garage replaced the driver side brake pipe as it was heavly correded during MOT, maybe the passenger side has gone?

got my brother to help and bleed the passenger wheel, no air, did the drivers loads of air came out, but then we noticed fluid all over the insdie of the wheel and wishbone,
pressed brakes and it sprays out from the pipe, so the pipe is leaking, but very minor, over a period time goes.
will be giving it to garage tomorrow, but not impressed as he replaced a pipe when he did the MOT few months ok, but I dont know whether this was the driver or passenger, he said he had to fail it, so will be on the MOT check website.

im actually now looking at getting the brake flaring kit from ebay and some pipe and doing it myself, i know the garage will just make excuses and will have to pay, so if i could buy the tools and materials for the same price as him doing it, firstly ill have experiance and the equipment to do it for future?
what u reckon, my bro is training to be a mechanic, and will show me how...
