Anees I think the "exhaust" coming off the front bumper is actually a screamer pipe and something to do with the turbo but I might just be talking rubbish.
The screamer pipe if he had one will be in engine bay - it will have been exhaust - there are quite a few starlet guys running front - well side exits through bumper. I have had a few of these cars now - sold my last one last year - great cars -will have another one day. here it is if link works

Your right Anees,
its for an externally wastegated turbo,
normally on a wastegated turbo the little flap opens via the actuator and gas diverts around the fins to stop it over boosting.
on a non wastegated turbo you dont have that so you have an external wastegate that opens at the right boost and releases the excess gas, your meant to feed this back into the exhaust but instead most people have then to atmosphere, (as i will soon)

The exhaust basically comes straight off the turbo and the backbox does fit in the engine bay just behind the bumper.
The starlet is only 1.3l (same engine as my project
)but they are rapid and there are a few very high powered ones rolling about. Of course he could have also done the 1.5 conversion.Jason
There are a few guys on the starlet club that have exhausts coming through the side of the front bumper. It would have been on the drivers side just in front of the front tyre yeah?
