lsd diff
lsd diff
Have you checked the code on the plate on the bulkhead?
FIRST LETTER
A = 200mm crown wheel
B = 220mm crown wheel
SECOND NUMBER
01 = 4.083 ratio
02 = 3.769 ratio
03 = 3.266 ratio
THIRD LETTER
A = 2 pinion open
B = 2 pinion torsen
C = 4 pinion open
D = 4 pinion torsen
should help you work out what you have and go from there mate
My understanding of diff ratios is the higher the number the higher the top speed and the lower the acceleration.
Whereas a lower number give better acceleration and a lower top end.
^that's why drifters fit auto diffs/lower ratio diffs to their car because they would rather have better accel.
higher final gear ratio would give you a lower top speed, as you'd hit the rev limiter earlier. You'd also lose economy for cruising because your revs would be higher at the same speed as before.
Either way, you will be bouncing off the rev limiter in 6th at around 130-145 depending on wheel size.
edit: fuel economy will be **** regardless of what diff you use.
