Hi all,

I'm wondering if anyone can confirm my suspicions and/or give me a solution/their experience of the same problem.

My car has started hunting on idle, not moving off from a standstill unless I give it full throttle and it hesitates at part throttle once moving.

I suspect this is a vacuum or vacuum hose problem.

Does anyone have any ideas? Or is there anything else I should check?

I'm going to remove the TB, give it a clean, change the hoses and see if that sorts it.

Thanks.

Yep leaking inlet causes that symptom. So a leaking hose would cause it.

Right I've changed all of the vacuum hoses and reset the ECU but I've still got a pending "P0106 - MAP/BARO CKT Range/Performance" Code

so do we think the sensor is buggered?

A friend suggested my E-Manage wiring is causing too much resistance? Is this possible/likely?

Anyone got anymore ideas or suggestions?

Erm quite good i'd like to think. but its starting to claw at the back of my mind that its the soldering!

Ill try changing the vacuum sensor and see if that helps then check the soldering, god i hope i dont have to re-do it all!

Have you tested the resistance from the sensor through the emanage to the ecu?

No I haven't tested anything for resistance - I know I said I was going to but by the time I'd soldered niegh on every connection 4 or 5 times I was sick!

I'll have to crack out the multi-meter.

On a side note, I don't know what I've done but it boost whistles LOADS on overrun now Big Grin
(It didn't before!)

I said I was going to test everything for resistance but I couldn't be bothered by the time I had actually finished and it was working (because it had taken so many attempts)

I keep forgetting I'm one of the few Geordies on here!
