Hi!

How do you clean yours? do you remove them from engine or just remove the air box? how do you manage not to get any dirt fall in intake manifold?

and why there are water bypass tubes on the TB assembly? do they heat up intake air, or they cool dowh the TB?

thanks Wink

I've cleaned a couple, on and off the car. It's a bit easier to clean when it's off the car because you can get into all the nooks and crannies that are inaccessible when it's in situ. Taking it off the car also insures that nothing falls in your intake. I use isopropyl alcohol, because it's kinder than a lot of cleaners on the market and perfect for removing the oily deposits in the throttle body.

The water bypass tubes are a function of running the engine in cold conditions. It's supposed to stop the moisture in the induction system freezing as it goes through the TB.

looks like I'm taking off mine

what about the gasket between manifold and TB? can it be reused or it needs to be changed once removed?

I reused mine because it was in good condition, up to you if you want to get a new one. I can't imagine they're that much to buy.
