how to do ecu reset on is200
Currently ive always since buying my is200, had horrendous MPG (i know they love the juice, but having 15-18mg around town) is becoming a pain in the ass.
i always keep on top of servicing - had recent long life plugs/synthetic oil/and all filters changed/ all belts changed (as didnt like a squeeling when it was damp)/ new ball joints/ all new brakes etc etc everything is always kept on top of.
But ive heard doing an ECU reset helps resolve the matter of poor mpg, do i have to take it to a tuning place or is there any step by step guides for me to do it myself?

17-01-2020, 09:21 PM #3Battery voltage should be 13 to 14volts get a volt reader and check the terminals at the battery and alternator. To reset the ecu just disconect the battery for 5 to 10 minutes

I was getting low 20s MPG, checked the tyres and found they were all about 30psi, so I pumped them back up to 45psi and bob's your uncle, close to 30mpg now

toxo 45psi! I bet you do get really good MPG with overinflated tyres, you've got very little contact with the road so less friction :lol:
They are 18s if that makes a difference? I thought the lower profile means you need higher pressure?

Have a look on the sidewall of the tyre and see what the maximum rated pressure is. If you fill them cold you can add 3-4psi for when the air in the tyre is hot (maybe less for low profile tyres as they have a lot less air in).
