It's been a while coming, but Mclaren have finally taken the wraps off their new road car. Story and pics here.

I wonder if Mr Mole and Bandit will like the colour ?

I was a bit disappointed when I saw that to be honest, looks like a generic british sports car, not bad looking but nothing exciting.

Compare that to an aston, or even the LF-A and it doesn't really look special enough (for some reason it keeps looking like a cross between a ferrari 360 and an R8 but no idea why!).

Although news of this and the SLS (which is also gorgeous) being a pure Mercedes is only fuelling my impression that Mercedes might be gearing up to split from McLaren and go it alone........

I agree with you Parthiban, I'm not over-enamoured with the looks. Then again, I was never that keen on the look of the Mclaren F1 either. I wouldn't say no to either of them, of course Big Grin

I'd agree with that too, the original F1 definitely looked more radical in 1992 than this does today, but lookswise I always preferred the XJ220 which I still think looks amazing

I don't think this looks any thing special.

£150,000 pound think what you could have instead.
You could have a year old and Ferreri and and a year old Audi A8

I still bet it's going to be an amazing drive though. And the Mclaren name will help sell it too, of course.

I wish it didn't look like a usual British "built in a shed" special - I think Noble's are great and have total respect for what they create, but McLaren should be on a whole different level.

Agree though, I'm sure it'll be something special to drive, which will probably make the outside irrelevant
