Coilover oppinions and a couple of suspension questions.
So I am saving for some coilovers and have a couple of questions.
What is the standard spring rate of the is200? Either the sport/SE doesn't matter just would like a rough figure to gauge my set up from standard.
I am looking for camber adjustment also, camber plates on the front mounts but are is's adjustable on the lower suspension arms, if so is this do-able with the oem arms or do you need a camber kit? Same with rear>?
Cheers Folks.
Ozzie if you look in the club sponsor section we have an arrangement with MeisterR that will save you money on coilovers. They're also pretty good with any advice and/or questions you have
I had hsd's on my old is very good coilovers lots of height and damping adjustment. Camber is an issue on the is though. With standard arms i could only get it back to -2 degrees from -3 thats about all the adjustment they had after that you need adjustable arms which are very very expensive so depends how low you want to go and want set up you want.
I have just fitted meister r to my rx8 and they are amazing bits of kit lovely comfort but solid in the corners and handles like a dream

So just to add, after a tiny bit of research I believe the is300 standard rate to be very close to the region of ; 5kg/mm (Fr) 5kg/mm ® Don't know how accurate these figures are as no-one seems to have a definite answer but I cant Imagine that they wouldnt be much stiffer than that.
Hope this is of help to folks in the future
The MeisterRs come very highly recommended. Camber can be hard (expensive) to control though. If you go low enough you will get a 2-3 degrees naturally on the rear, I think. Ormi would know, check out his project thread.
