Good morning all,

Though I would share my weekend with every body, a lot of you are already aware that i have been looking to upgrade and the saying goes every dog has its day, well yesterday (Sunday 18/10) was my day, meet the new ride...

Its a 2002 Subaru Legacy B4 TT manual (Jap import - so comes with real JDM cred :biggrinSmile when it was new it produced 280hp.

It even still has the Japanese roadworthy disk and toll pay system installed, so everytime you start you here this weird japanese woman say something

Interior is super clean bar a tear in the driver seat, but thaats easily fixed.

Came complete with JDM big bore performance exhaust and its loud but who doesn't like the burble from the boxer engine:drool:

Roll on JAE 2016!

So what do you guys think?

ThanksStav, yeah Driving it back from Cork where it was was such a nice experience, the power delivery comes on fast but its not brutal ithink thats due to the sequential turbos though, i had to keep watching the speedo so i didn't go over the speed limit, the overtaking was such a pleasure didn't even need to gear down just had to put the ol boot down and that was it, definitely love at first driveBig Grin

Thanks pat, don't really think i will have a lot of hardware related mods, for her as in my opinion the car is pretty much sorted, and in this case originality is the way to go, however that being said i do plan to do a few cosmetic mods such as dipping certain plastics both inside and under the bonnet, there are also a few minor scuffs and a small crack in the front bumper that i would like to take care of the drivers seat need upholstering as well so yes i do have a few jobs to do to get her into tip top shape but thats about it i'm afraid perhaps at a later stage i might do a few things but for now she is close to perfect for my liking.

In Hind sight though i was toying with the idea of doing the induction and possible a Front mount intercooler conversion but that will have to wait a while not sure if it can be done by the time JAE comes round again

Do like these.. My mate used to have one... Really smooth to drive.
Just watch out for noises from the gearbox... Been told there a bit soft and don't like hard launches.

Yeah the power delivery is smooth and i absolutely love driving her, and with the kakimoto zorst she has plenty of bark to go with her bite too :presents2:

Just realised i don't have a turbo timer yet and its not really urgent as i have learnt to let the turbo cool down safely from when i had my Bora TDi but a TT does help somewhat in situations you forget or are not in a position to sit a wait and are in a hurry are they easy to install and are they affordable?

I have a HKS type 0 pretty easy to fit on the Impreza comes with specific harness you just change over under steering column then splice the handbrake sensor wire into it then mounted in where ash tray used to be....sorted
Can't remember how much I paid but came with Subaru harness so easy, prob cheaper options about

Yeah looked at the HKS type 0 as well, just never installed one though so was wondering about the difficulty level of installing one, but thanks for the info i'll keep it in mind when it comes time to start making a shopping list for additions.
