A few months back i bought a rather neglected r34 gtt. It hadn't run for 3 years, there were parts missing but did have the positive of coming with a brand new hks gt2835 turbo kit.

I've spent the last few months accumulating all the missing parts which was a big job as its pretty hard to know whats missing.
I got the turbo all built up and filled the oil and water as well as putting some new fuel in and tried to start it.................nothing, there was no spark and no fuel.
So i start to look at the wiring and to my horror found that the wiring under the dash was in a complete mess, cut wires, live wires just hanging. I tried to sort it with the dash in but it was extremely hard to use a soldering iron in such a small space, so i took the dash out

Thats what i was dealing with, i resoldered all the cut wires and then tried to start it again.........still nothing, still no spark or fuel.
I went through and tested every relay, every fuse and every wire and found that i had no power at pin 80,109 on the ECU and these are supposed to be constant lives. The fuses had power on both sides but there was nothing at the ECU, so i added 2 new wires to the back of the fuse box, fed them through the car and connected them to the ecu and then tried to start it again............Started first turn of the key Smile and not only that but it purs like a kitten Smile

My next plans are to get the engine out and do a manual swap, the subframes are coming off so that they can be powder coated and rebushed and the shell is going off to be resprayed in balloon white.
