Hello folks, it's nice to meet you all. I've had my 2005 IS200 from new and until a couple of months ago was planning on moving it on and buying something new but I couldn't find anything that I liked as much and a motoring holiday to Spain was getting closer...The solution was obvious, pull it apart, treat any scruffy bits, waxoyl it and get it off to the paintshop for a bit of fresh paint... Two days before the holiday all was together and a good coat of wax to boot...She still drives as nicely as the day I collected her and for the much beloved and I was the perfect car for our short holiday.

Now I'm back I can't help feeling that she needs a little more power and have been reading the sections on supercharging, so I shall start collecting my parts for the conversion hopefully to be completed before our road trip to Kiev later next year

Thanks for the welcome guys....Stav, there certainly is a wealth of information and just as importantly supplies of unique parts for the project, i'm thinking compressor brackets and electronic giggle boxes to control the fuelling..

A brief look into fitting a supercharger raises a couple of minor issues, the inlet and outlet for the super charger...Does anyone here have a supplier? and the lack of air boxes, they all seem to be hiding in peoples lofts.. It appears from the photos of the air boxes that they may be made of GRP or carbon fibre. Is this correct?

Inlets and outlets need to be made up unless you can find some second hand. As for the air filter you can use a aftermarket pod filter. You'd be hard pushed to find a TTE one at a price you'd want to pay.

That's why I was curious about the material that the TTE airbox was made from as it appears to be a reasonably straightforward project to copy that shape in reinforced plastic and to design the filter around a reasonable common "Off the shelf" panel filter.. Which leads me onto the inlet and outlet which may or may not be cast in high temperature casting resin with metal inserts for pipe connection and bolt holes..
