BP Ultimate has launched what it calls a revolutionary high-octane fuel. Launching at selected sites in the south east, BP Ultimate 102 Unleaded is described as "the most advanced, high-performance petrol sold on any forecourt in the UK".

Offering performance improvements of up to 16 per cent in BP's tests, it's also the most expensive at an eye-watering £2.42 per litre – see below for sites where you can get it – although it's said to be better for the environment.

That's not new is it? I remember BP launching a high performance fuel (at extortionate cost) at selected stations a while back?

However I don't mind paying a few pence more for V Power - but more than double the cost is where I draw the line! And the performance improvements will only work on Ferraris and Evos and stuff, doubt it'll make much difference to an IS200........

Yeah it's way too much, maybe if I had an LFA with a matching bank balance I might give it a go :thumbup1:

£10 will only get you 4 litres Confusedhock:

had it in Newport Pagnell but no one used it as the cost is stupid - it lasted 6 months on the forecourt.

It will not make any difference to your car's performance unless you get it remapped. It is race fuel for track cars and the intent was to make it available at stations near race tracks.
The only person I know that uses for track days has two ECU's, one for the track and the other for the road with a switch to go from one to the other. It allows him to use standard unleaded for the road to make it reasonably economic.
I posted the info on the dark side about two years ago, and yes I work for BP.

IS 200 Sport with a few mods, Standardish IS-F. The IS250 SE-L with a few mods has gone to a new home.[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Thats why it was at the filling station at Newport Pagnell - only 20 miles to Santa Pod.
