1. First you need to remove the old compartment lid. There are just two screws that hold this in place.

2. Then remove the felt base ( if you have one ) to reveal two screws, remove these.

3.Now remove the handbrake gator, pull it straight up there are two tabs that hold this in place ,but they will just pop out.

4. Now remove the ashtray.

5. Remove the panel that the ashtray sits in, and disconnect the cigarette lighter

6. Remove your gear knob , and remove the gear stick gator

7. Remove these two srews.

8.Remove these two screws from the center console, one either side

9.Now remove the center console , there are two tabs that hold this in place. The best way was just to give it a firm **** and they pop out.

This is what it looks like once removed and a good idea to give it a bit of a clean to remove the years of grime , and if you are lucky find some money.

10. Now with the center console removed , turn it upside down and remove the rear cup holders , you will need to push the two metal tabs inwards to achieve this.

and remove the steal housing

11. remove the other two screws and the old box will lift out.

it will look like this once removed.

12. Now fit your new box and replace the metal housing and rear cup holders .

13.Remove the bracket going over the handbrake cable with a 10mm socket , you will not need this bracket again.

14. Now its time to fit the new armrest tower , with the arrow pointing forwards. Bolt onto car using the bolts removed from the bracket for the handbrake cable

I decided to cut a piece of the carpet to make it sit better , but this is up to you if you want to do this or not.

I found doing this made it sit better.

15. Now refit the center console .

and replace all screws to hold in place.

16. Now fit the armrest hinge cover, making sure that the five tabs fit into place.

17. Time has come to fit the armrest to the hinge , there are two bolt for this and you need a 12mm socket

18. Next there are two caps to push onto the hinge to cover the bolts, these are marked left and right. You will also notice an arrow on the inside of the cap . This needs to be pointing straight up for them to fit correctly .

19. Only thing left to do is fit the piece of felt for the new compartment and fit the magnet hole cover

20. Stand back and admire your handy work
