All ways were possible buy these from a dealer who specialised in this sort of vehicle and can offer you a worth while warranty
As many have been up graded with many different modifications things light bigger brakes exhaust Suspension.

Take care when making a purchase of any performance car as these can often be expensive mistake if you do not done your homework.

When Choosing your Impreza decide what you want the car for a fairly standard STI can make a very good daily drive but if you want a track car then maybe the type RA Should be your choice.
Classic impreza can be bought for under £3500 £5000 should find you a good quality example.

Remember if you are buying a heavy modified car these can be a mine field so get a Subaru specialist to check the car out for you.

The STis have uprated engine internal they still need to be cared for Oil changes should be carried every 7500 miles remember to change the spark plugs breke fluid transmission and diff oil every two years or 24,000 miles.
The cambelt should be changed every 45,000 miles.

When stopping please allow the turbo to cool down before turning the engines off (you can add a turbo timer)
Boost gauge should read between 17 or 18psi.
Cluches have been know to go as little as 40,000 miles clutch judder is common when these cars are cold.

Most owners change their exhaust even when they can last for many years, so make sure the cat is present or you will fail your MOT.
Check tyre wear for even wear or the car geometry my need looking at.

Most Impreza are not undersilled so check thoroughly for corrosion.

Interior are very plastic but wear very well and electric on the whole are very good.

Check these cars for panel damage because these are the sort of cars that have been in crashes and could have been repaired.

A hpi vehicle check is highly recommended when purchasing along with a Impreza specialist checking over your purchase.
