it was a council parking ticket, not a police one or private one
I got one today, altho I was under the impression that lets say you park your car in a pay and display, and haven't got change for the ticket, u have a little lee-way to grab one, and i'd heard that if a traffic warden sees a car without a pay and display ticket, they have to wait a certain amount of time before issuing a fine? can anyone confirm??

Jeff Pay and Display means just that. You have to Pay before leaving your car in the car park, they say that if you know you are going into that parking area you should have enough change for the meter.

Im not too bothered about what excuses people may come up with, I just want to know if there is any official lee-way offered before a ticket is issued

That's why you often see wardens patrolling pay and display bays but don't bother so much about cars parked illegally on yellow lines.

It's the opposite, they have to wait on a yellow line but pay and display they can issue a ticket as soon as they see a car without a ticket.

ometimes i feel like knocking them out:mad:so altho there was a valid ticket in the window, the details weren't visible, so I know the offence of not displaying is relevent, i'm just seeing if I can avoid paying it due to any technicalities, but i've a feeling its not gonna go my way lol, never mind, i'll consider it punishment for something i've previously gotten away with
the long and short of it is I put the pay and display ticket on my dash and it flipped itself over, (possibly warm engine air coming thru the dash vent below the window)
