Ok guys help me out here. Im in a bit of a dilemma. Currently the car is sitting on IS200 17" 5 spokes. I also have a set of Kahn RS-R wheels sitting in the garage. Im going to refurb a set to go on the car before JAE, but i cant make my mind up which wheels to refurb.

The kahn's will be easier as they are not curbed, just paint flake, so a quick sand down and paint up.

The IS200 rims have a few scrapes and are quite corroded, so will require a bit more work.

The color is going to be volvo dark metallic grey. Help me decide which ones i should do

Must admit i do like the Khan wheels mate, but the is200 wheels do look good on the car Big Grin and you don't see many MR2's with the lexus wheels fitted (well not round here) so might look different to the rest at JAE

What happened to the wheels it had fitted when you got it Pete? did like those :thumbup1:

Ive still got the wheels it came with, but i think 18s are too much for an MR2. Plus they are well tatty, the chrome lip is badly dented and scraped. I might look into refurbing them next year.

What i may do is refurb the IS200 rims in the dark grey, and then at a later date do the kahns in bronze.

I also have had some 20mm spacers made up for the rear to bring the wheels out to the arches better on the back. You can see in the pic above they sit in a bit

Bronze gets my vote mate, think if it was me i'd do the lexus wheels and see how they come out, then if your not happy with them the Khans wouldn't take much to do if you needed to do them in a short time scale?

That sounds like a good idea. Tomorrow ill start a pair of the IS rims then. Unfortunately im going to have to make a start with the tyres still on, as i have no way of getting the wheels down to a tyre fitters to get them pulled off the rim.

Sounds like a plan mate, really need to start on mine but again not sure on which ones to do? got the 17" is200 wheels that are on the car at the moment and a set of 5 spoke 17" Alessio sport wheels in the shed that i had fitted a while back?

I might do the IS200 wheels again like i did the last set, with the polished rims and black spokes??

I really love those black and polished IS200 rims. Must have taken a while to get them looking that way, they look amazing. Although, that set of splits, now they are something else. They would finish your car off perfectly

I showed Rabster the split rims a few weeks back and he said they would look pretty good on my lex, might see if he still has them for sale??

The lexus rims took me ages as i did most of it by hand, but now i have better tools it probably wouldn't take me long to do them this time around? :thumbup1:
