Alloy wheel fitment guide
et should be 45.
i run 8.5 20" et 42 without problems and i have not rolled my arches. i also have a 3mm spacer on just to get it right.
so whats the specs of the aero 18s then? I'm starting a lil project with my car n will be changing my wheels down the line to 18s but aint got a clue about what width/offset to go for
yip gord is right im running et35 8x18 i have no arch work and mine is dropped 90mm front and 100mm rear but i am running a little camber on the rear and i have to use 215x40x18 tyres no chance of using 225's as their is no room.
so if i wanted to fit 18s on mine but run 225s then what would i have to do? Bare in mind mine isnt lowered so think i'd be able to get away with the same spec wheels as u with wider tyres but i do also want room for improvement incase i lower it.
i run 225 on 20" with et 45. 35mm drop and no rolled arches. get the right et and tyre size and you will have no problems
thanks gord. So on an 8j rim what width tyre would i need? I'm defo going to be going wider than the standard 17" rims and i'm guessing aeros are the same width as the 17s?
right then looks like i'll be going for 8j rims then i think and possibly 235 tyres as they should fit with the car not being lowered anytime soon.
^^^^^ no danger with a 235 with a et of 35 you will defo stick out past the arch!!
225 you might get away with as long as its only you and a front seat passenger and thats a might..
you might not have lowered your car but when you are carrying people and shopping the springs will compress so you will get rubbing the safest thing you can do is get the 215x40x18 tyre i am speaking from experiance if you want to go wider than a 215 scrap the et35 wheels....
