I've asked some people around about this. I need to change the cambelt in couple of days and I was just wondering if the waterpump can be changed at at a later date without removing the cambelt. Given the fact that the waterpump is not driven by the timing belt it looks quite possible to be doable but I am not sure. I want to change everything (3 belt and radiator hoses) What you guys think?

You can do the cambelt on its own but i would recommend that while this is being done you replace the followers as well.
The water pump does not need doing at the same time.
I never had mine replaced when to belt was done.

The online workshop manual procedure for removing the water pump, here, says to remove the timing belt first. I can only assume it's necessary, but I haven't actually tried it myself to know for sure.

IS200 Turbo project now just about complete ! See my thread here and leave your comments.
Now running standalone Syvecs ECU and no stock ECU !

So you're saying that I can replace the waterpump without taking the cambelt off, is that correct?

The cambelt needs to be removed to replace waterpump

For the cost of a pump replace it at the sametime as a cambelt.

I thought it was standard practice to replace the water pump and cam belt at the same time anyway?

When mine was done i only needed the cam belt changed along with the followers, job done.
I never had any problems with this method.

Some people change the water pump while the camb belt is off.
