Ugh, so it looks like I need to buy a new battery. Car refused to start after I had interior light on for only about 30 mins last night and its been a lot slower to crank up recently.

Interestingly though my battery charger managed to jump start the car for me :p

Whats a good, reasonably priced battery? And what size/model should I be looking for?

Although they may not be expensive, the dealer is also not usually the cheapest!

With the mods and electrical gismos you are running, it would make sense to get an uprated one of some kind.

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

Jim I would be checking to see what is drawing off the battery first ie: is your computer draining the battery over night?

Jim there is a place Behind the closed Lexus Dealer off Progress Road that off good Priced batteries, I can not remember there name.

I dont think its the PC as the PSU is set to cut all power after 2 minutes if the PC hasn't shut down properly.

It seems to only have started happening since I shorted out the battery. Even after driving around for several hours, when I go to start the car it does a very lame er-er-er-er before it starts up.

Cheers for the pointer though mate, I'll deffo check out that place as I'm gonna need one ASAP.

Car is in bits again too now *sigh*

If you need a standard battery then I found recently that Lexus were the cheapest, and then they knocked 10% off that so it was even cheaper :tongue_smilie:

However as others have said with all the extra bits you have may be worth going for more power? But then if it's just the PC, may not need it.

Varta is tempting, but I've got £50-60 set in my head as budget.

I'm just hemorrhaging money on this car at the mo and whats worse is that most the **** I'm buying doesn't fit Sad
