HI all.

was after some help.

Ive had my car about 7 years and i've developed a problem that i first had when i got the car. Lexus replaced a junction box and a ecu to do with the alarm but i cant remember what exactly. im thinking its the same thing this time.

When you switch the ignition off the headlights and the rear lights stay on and wont turn off, even if the switch on the control arm is set to off.

With the ignition on and the car started on the lights still stay on and wont switch off. So i keep having to take the fuses out from the fusebox in the drivers side kickpanel. So that it doesnt draiin the battery when left parked up. Ive disconnected the control arm connector on the steering whheel and still the same so it cant be the control arm switch.

Ive read that you may have problems if u've had the windscreen replaced i.e that you could get water into the drivers sode kickpanel. but ive taken the driverside kick panel fuse box out and check all the connectors and there doesnt seem to be any water there.

I have read somewhere that the theft deterrant ecu would need replacing, but im just abit confused as to what or where that is.

Can someone tell me where that is and where i could possibly locate one?

Is this the same thing?

Sorry I can't help on the light problem. It seems a coincidence that your only mods are light related and you have a light related problem. But I'm quite sure it is just that, a coincidence, as I do not think they are related!!!

But look here >>> http://www.outlawjapclub.co.uk/forum/sho....php?t=200 for help on posting photos mate. You need to link to them with [IMG] tags as you have, but you need the address of the image online (need to upload to photobucket or similar) and not on your computer as you have done. But you are nearly there!

EDIT: You are very close! Just copy and paste the IMG code from photobucket (hold mouse over thumbnail for this option.)

Here is one:

Check all connections on both fuse boxes, when I had the same problem with mine 1 connector was so knackered on the drivers side that I had to wire in another connector and 3 pins on the passenger side were almost gone the same way.

The theft deterant unit is (in the first pic) Literally just behind the ignition barrel, you will see 2 boxes it's the 1 on the left hand side of the 2

ICE-JVC kw-avx820,JL 300/4,JL 500/1,JL HO210R-W3V2,mb quart rua-216 components,2x veba headrest screens
TRD front lip,hid 8000k,ik 20's,front armrest,18'' black rims with chrome polished lip,k&n filter,hks superdragger,chrome a/c rings,rear view camera,bc coilovers

Oh and best way to turn the lights off while your checking these connections it the take the relay out of the engine fuse box instead of having to keep taking fuses out Of the kickpannel
