This maybe a silly question.....
Hi there guys i know this is properly a real Novice question but are superchargers basicly plug in and.play? Obviously i realise That there maybe a few slight mods needs but i want more power and been told that only thing that makes a real difference is forced induction although i realise turbo is going to be the route for most power and tuning but it seams like way to much hassle can someone please give me some advice on.what's needed and time car would need to be off the road ect...... Thanks guys it is a genuine question sorry for being abit dense......
If you can get a hold of the TTE Supercharger then yes its basically plug and play.
Your car would only be off the road for about 8 hours at the most.
If you get a full supercharger kit, it should have:
Supercharger, intercooler, intercooler pipework, inlet snorkel, all hoses and clamps, cradle, pulley, possibly belt (if not they are 5PK790 belts), induction kit/air box, IK20 spark plugs are not a priority but need to be changed! And some kind of fuel cut device whether it be an HKS FCD or TTE blackbox it all fits in fine.
I'm 15 and I know how to do most of the work... only by experience of seeing 2 chargers installed and one uninstalled...
You can get others , but the TTE one is the most popular .
Just have a search through the supercharging / turbo part of the club.
ebay and here. very rare and don't come up often.
their isnt one.....the tte is the only one that works correctly..you can make a charger kit using a merc charger which is what the tte kit uses but its a lot of fabrication
but the tte one is so simple to fit its unreal
