There's loads of threads on washing your car and everyone's opinions and experiences will differ slightly but here's what use.
1. Rinse the car.
2. Autoglymm PH neutral car shampoo using 2 bucket method and microfibre mitt.
3. Rinse
4. Bilt Hamber autoclay. (This removes all the microscopic particles that stick to your paintwork and is great for giving an immaculate finish.)
5. Rinse and remove clay residue.
6. Apply dodo juice Blue Velvet hard wax by hand.
7. Buff it off and admire your handywork.

Here's a thread I started on :ahem: the other site, here.

It has certainly worked on your car it looks great,I think I need to buy a clay kit as I have never used it before, last year my car looked really shiny but if I ran my hand lightly over the body work I could feel bits on the surface do you know anything about auto glym hd polish quite pricey but might be worth it,is there a wonder product from meguiars for all those people who went to there hq.

I'll bore you here, no need for next meet lol

I've tried a few clay bars and meguiars is the best I've come across so far.

Polish is really what you prefer. I've used Meguiars Polish (step 2 in the step 1, 2, 3 bottles) which works pretty good but I always use swirl remover first, all the stuff I use can be be machine or by hand. My routine for a detail is

Rinse

Wash with Meguiars Gold Class Shampoo

Rinse

Dry

Autoglym Bug and Tar Remover

Clay (Meguiars clay with Chemical Guys Pro Detailer - Meguiars detailer is good though, I just like the smell of the CG stuff lol) ALWAYS HAVE PLENTY OF LUBE Wink

Tape up the car (cover all plastic/rubber seals and badges etc.) - only really need to do this if using a polishing machine

Paint cleaner (Meguiars Paint Cleaner (step 1) or Dodo Juice Lime Prime Lite)

Swirl remove (Meguiars Swirl X or Ultimate Compound, depends how bad it is - if I swirl remove I don't bother with the paint cleaner as it does the same job)

Polish (Meguiars Polish (step 2)

Glaze (Poorboys Black Hole Glaze - love this stuff, has fillers in so any light swirls scratches you don't get out with the swirl remover you can fill them in - doesn't last forever though)

Sealant (Chemical Guys Blacklight Sealant - does pretty much the same as the Glaze in that it has fillers but also seals in the glaze and polish for a gorgeous deep wet look finish)

Wax (Pete's 53 wax at the moment but also have Meguiars Wax (step 3), Meguiars Carnuba Wax, Supaguard and Dodo Juice)

I then usually (if I haven't died of exhaustion) have a quick spray over with the detailer to really bring the colour out.

That's not including, wheels, exhaust, engine bay and interior lol

I'm stiggered just reading that! .. dont forget to tell him all about claying in a horizonatal then vertical motion rather than circling so you ensure all areas are covered, folding it over to a clean bit ... hopefully not more than three times lol.. ... and everything except the wax should be on and straight off Smile

And Mark, if you're not sure.. your car is smaller than Vicki's so pop round and get her to show you.. before she starts hers Smile

Lol oops

Going back to the first post, the black spots you can get off with your nail is more than likely tar, this will come off with clay but I prefer going over with tar remover first, at the moment I'm using autoglym which is ok, but only because I couldn't get hold of IronX which is great stuff
