Yeh I'm really excited now about picking it up next week.

It looks better in the pictures than it does in the flesh as always but it really isn't too bad for a 20 odd year old motor.

It looks to be pretty much rust free but only time will tell on the mechanicals.

I'll keep you posted with updates.

So, I picked up the Maz yesterday.

Had a brilliant drive home; couldn't stop smiling for the rest of the day. Been out for a couple of blasts in today too, with the top down and it is just so much fun.

All seems to be pretty good, I've had a good look round since I got it home and can't find any major problems at the moment.

Had a tidy up in the boot area today as there was something rattling and knocking around, I'll get some pictures up soon.

While in the boot I have found that the battery clamp is missing and the battery is held in with a bungy strap, I'll have to have a look on eBay to see if I can get one although I might have to make something as the battery has been changed and I think the new battery is a bit higher than the original so the original clamp might not fit or need modifying anyway.

The other thing with the battery is that because the battery is in the boot the original battery had a vent hose that goes through the floor. the hose or hoses are still there but they are not connected to the new battery. I'm assuming that the new battery is sealed and therefore doesn't need venting.

Here's a picture of the battery.........

and the vent hoses........

I'd make sure the battery is secured before you rag it about too much, common problem with these is for the battery clamp to break/get lost. And then then corner of the battery dents the panel it's next to and you end up with a few inch squared area of little dimples where the battery has knocked dents into the panel from the inside out!
