Oh so other than quick battery drain there wouldn't be any other noticeable difference in the running of the car?

Engine on, see if the headlights get brighter when you rev it. If they do then the alternator may be on the way out.

Lexus will test (as will most garages) for free and then you know for sure. I would go to Lexus with your receipt for the last battery.
