el_bandido you can't remap the factory ECU as far as I'm aware, you'd need a piggyback. This also sounds like bollocks.

N yh had a feeling cos I know the mr2 couldn't be remapped so had a hunch the Lexus couldn't either grrr

So your tuckin 15's, that's cute but come back to me when you get some proper size wheels

FYI - whifbitz kit is designed for a supra, so that may require a bit of modification for the IS300. The basics are all there though.

Chris0121 Just looked at the whifbitz kit in total it'll be about £4800 inc vat and power is between 350-400 depending on what boost its set at but that's including everything so some decisions to make

If that kit is just a standard na-t kit you'll also be needing a good turbo manifold for the is300 as one designed for the supra won't fit. The cheap ones you see in the USA are unlikely to fit either as many foul the steering rack on RHD.

At 400hp be prepared for the 2nd gear in the auto tranny to grenade, or as you say, swap a manual straight in. I guess if you go manual you'll also need to go standalone?

You'll also be right on the knife edge of what an unbuilt GE can take at 400 and plenty of people in the USA have had theirs die at lower HP even when tuned by pros.

Tune for lower and you may be happy for a while (about as long as it takes a Supra TT owner to fit a boost controller). But unlike these guys your GE engine is maxed out without at least new pistons and HG, whereas a GTE owner is just at the beginning.

This is just my personal experience tho. Others may beg to differ.

It's worth bearing in mind that you can mix and match the whifbitz kit, so if you don't want the manifold, it will be considerably cheaper.

I'm sure if you made a sensible offer to B15RUP, he'd sell you the entire car, with all the bits on it - which you then swap to yours, refit standard parts to his, and sell it on. There you go, instant 300+bhp supercharged set up in your own car

Why not just get the place that did B15RUPs to do yours? I remember on speaking to him that it did seem a fairly simple and reliable conversion.
