Lane discipline rant
Lane discipline rant
I had one on the way back from work today,
I was on the second lane of a two lane Motorway, plenty of traffic on the first, which i was overtaking at 70mph, think there were doing about 60mph, when i say plenty, no chance to pull back in, and this car comes shooting up behind flashing his lights to say get out of the way, i looked, he peed me, but there was no way i could pull over, he was soo close to me, i could not see his bonnet ! i carried out and he carried out flashing weaving in and out, so i waved at him to get lost, and then he started to get so close half of his windscreen could be seen, so a tapped my brake, so that got his attention and fell behind.
he continued, so i just slowed down to 60mph to match the first lane traffice and carried on for the rest of the journey lol, when he eventually overtook, his face was basically red, and i was laughing at him which made it worse
I am sure Dan will agree with me but living in Milton Keynes where most roads are dual carriageways, it really annoys me when people drive slowly (40 - 55mph) in the "overtaking" lane when the "non overtaking" lane is empty - usually because they are turning right at the next roundabout 1 to 2 miles down the road and can't be bothered to move over to let the turbo charged nutter past
I must agree three points for middle lane driving.
or even putting the camera operators to good use. flashing up on the traffic signs
"reg XXXXXXX, Blue polo, move over!"
embarrass them into it
This annoys me and i dont even drive. It happens too much. People just think the inside lane is the "Slow lane" and the middle lane is the normal lane.
People constantly sit in the middle/3rd lane, even when there is no traffic in the inside lane. If i ever needed to undertake "When i can drive :p". I probably would try to get the car to move over first, and if not. Just creep up slowly down their inside, and leave a lot of room incase they pulled over. (So they could notice i was there).
It would be against the law, but im guessing it would also be safe if i was careful.
O well, i think this basically annoys everyone, driver or passenger.
Sparkystav I must agree three points for middle lane driving.

I would love to have a dot-matrix scrolling display in my back window, and I could overtake someone and put up a message saying "pull over you numpty !" or something like that
parthiban Lol that would be really funny, like that episode of top gear where they do a radio show and clarkson does the traffic..........
Maybe I should get a speaker fitted to the front of the car to shout at people with

Got even better this morning, driving along in the right lane at exactly 50 (ok that is the speed limit) - guess who was at the front of the queue? A police van!
Then he stayed in the right lane, and then right at the absolute last minute he crossed across the entire carriageway in one swoop to make the exit........
If the police drive like that, what's everyone else supposed to do :Sulk:
