RANT!!!- 3 mobile
RANT!!!- 3 mobile
Ahh!!! I need to let off some steam.
Ok, I have a mobile with 3. As I am nearing the end of my 18 month contract I have given 3 30 days notice to cancel my contract. Apart from 3 being rubbish (regular calls drop out, poor reception etc), I am glad to be getting rid of this contract, as I now have a company phone, which can be used for personal calls (within reason). My current handset has been replaced several times and the problems still remain. When I first got my phone I tried to cancel this contract with 3 (thought I had 14 days to cancel the contract, but 3 say since you have made/recieved calls, the contract can't be cancelled. HELLO! If I don't use the phone, how do I know if its works or not! :mad
I have just taken a call from someone at 3 trying to persuade me not to cancel this contract- WHY CAN'T THESE GUYS TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER! Since I gave my 30 day notice, I have had a different person from 3 call my everyday asking me not to cancel this contract. Don't these guys look at their records??? I know these guys are in the business of selling phones/contracts etc- but there is no need to pressure/force people to stay with them.
Sorry for the shouting and thanks for reading this.
I cant agree with you more Kam; and i'm not even with them!
I'm currently near the end of my contract with t-mobile which are an ok network compared to others but over the past few weeks i've been receiving calls from a 3 call centre.
From the accents of the people who called i presumed they were based in south africa which in turn resulted in the line quality being very poor.
I have no idea how they got my number and when i questioned it they wouldn't give me a straight answer.
Most of the calls were very odd as the operator launched straight into questioning my current deal without asking me if i was interested or even available to talk.
I thought i would entertain their calls just to see if the deals they would offer me were worth considering.
After numerous probing questions and persuasive sales techniques and gestures as well as 'bonus specials' they claimed to be beating my current contract a fair margin.
I asked the price - they quoted the same - £35 p/m as t-mobile but kept making the point i would get more for my money.
Ever since i have had a mobile phone i have always bought an unlocked handset out of my own pocket and sell on the one that comes with the contract.
So when i asked if the w995 they were offering me was unlocked to all networks they didn't seem to know.
I already however knew the answer to this (nearly all 3 handsets are locked to their network and are a pain to unlock anyway) and acted extremely dissapointed when they told me it wasnt unlocked.
They then continued to try to sell me their 'amazing summer specials' by tellin me i can keep my existing phone for family calls and use the new phone and contract for everything else!!
This of course is ridiculous and i told them what i thought of their network and their incompetant sales methods from previous experience.
I have since renewed with O2 (in my opinion the best network out there) with a contract beating 3's and t-mobile at £15p/m and a free w995 with 600mins and unlmtd txts with extra discount from a mate of mine who works for O2.
What really bugged me is that i received another call this morning from 3 again askin me the same old questions (evidently they don't have call records) over and over.
I told them about the offer i got from O2 and asked them to beat it . . . . . well you can guess the rest!!
Conclusion: 3 network SUCK! (IMO)
Lol. Gota be careful with some numbers like that aswell. (Ovbiously if 3 were ringing you, it should be too bad). But ide like to string these call centres on a bit, when im bored and have nothing to do. But some actually chargre you for picking up the phone. So i just usually hang up.....
3 have always been bad to me anyway. Ive always heard about their poor reception and poor customer help, so ive never gone anywhere near them. Many people have had problems with orange, but since im on a rolling contract, and can cancell it whenever i want (With a months notice), im fine. £15 a month, 200mins unlimited texts. Does me fine. Although O2 have £15 300mins unlimited texts, i think. Its just the hassle of swapping over etc etc .
anyway, hope o2 treat you nicely . And 3 Suck!! :thumbup1:
if you want call centres to stop ringing you, just become abusive lol sounds wrong, but it works !
im with 3 & they have been alright (crossed fingers) i have been with them for a few years i was paying £20 a month when i had the chance to up grade i said i didnt need a new phone so i kept the same phone but the changed my bill to £5 a month for the same mins + texts
They all do it. I have given my notice with T-Mobile - the reason - I am leaving this country (not for 6 - 10 months but they don't know that), and they still want me to sign up for another 12 months the offer is very tempting though:
1500 mins, free texts, free internet (within reason, whatever that means) all for £15ppm.
No use to me though, internet is free anyway and I hate texting.
