After meeting a couple of members at Japfest Rock i joined the forum and thought I'd do a build diary for my wagon, although it's fairly complete now I still have plenty of future plans.

Started out when I had a front end accident in the wagon. As it was the daily and the insurance wanted to write it off I decided not to claim and carry out the repairs myself.

Week after the accident it was back on the road for the same price as my excess. Only problem I had was sourcing a wagon front end at short notice so the saloon version was used.

Wasn't overly fond on the wide front end and standard rear, whilst looking around at flares etc for the rear I found a build with someone welding on saloon rear quarters, so made the decision to have a go =)

Rear quarters, saloon rear doors and bumper were sourced. Next it was time for cutting, my Mrs had heart failure when she seen the hole.

Next was trimming all the unwanted metal off the doner wings and trial fitment.
The saloon rear quarters are longer than the wagon and had to get creative around the rear lights to get the lines correct.

[Image: 26C046A3-F6C6-4428-809A-8A946A635D05_zpsjonlcpkp.jpg]

Once happy I was close I fully welded and gave a light skin of filler.

Unfortunately due to the mods a bumper wasn't available off the shelf so got creative.

[Image: 8FF449C5-09C8-4F4A-B2E7-6F9BBAC5C284_zps1gkfcmj0.jpg]

Now I handed the car over to a mate to do the hard bit and make it look presentable again.

[Image: E3D9AD9F-08DB-4BE8-BA8A-BADE80B1980F_zpsndjyszgh.jpg]

I decide on a colour change at this point, I wanted a very subtle colour that wasn't in your face and would also be something that looked oem.

Now all fully rebuild and on the road for now till I can take it off the road again for a Hawkeye swap.

Now I'm currently taking a short break then I'll be back onto some more mods.

I really like this car as it's finished to a very high standard.

Would like to see more of this car
