Ahh yes you didn't mention that earlier, as above send it off with the ticket and I'm pretty sure they'll let you off - they don't usually bother arguing if you have a valid ticket as it isn't worth the effort.

Gord Well in your 1st post you never said anything about this.

Happened to me once, ticket fell off window (must of been when door was closed) the time printed on the ticket was clear and the time on the parking ticket was also clear, the parking ticket was issued 10mins after the parking ticket was bought, so i had a valid ticket, sent then a copy of the both and never had to pay the fine.

there was a reason for not mentioning initially, I was exploring all my options, having never had a ticket before I had heard that traffic wardens needed to observe a vehicle for a specific time before issuing a ticket, but I wasn't sure if it was the same for pay and display as maybe for like waiting areas etc, and having heard that an offence must be given 5 mins before a ticket issued I needed clarification as the time on my ticket was "witnessed from 14:35 - 14:37"

I thought the time issue would be the route I would go down to appeal, as the actual offence detailed was "failing to display a valid ticket" I was guilty of, as altho the ticket was valid, wasn't displayed correctly

the reason I didn't mention that was cos I suppose as I was technically guilty of that bit, I assumed it would be like displaying Tax, cos u can have a valid tax disc but still get done if you fail to display one can't you

but if others have had similar issues then its worth appealing either way isn't it

Yes lee-way is giving on "no-parking zones" and "single/double" yellow lines,

usually around 5 minutes

however, when they give you a ticket they will take a photo of your vehicle at that moment, meaning the time they say your vehicle was their is purely their word against yours.

If you write to them and ask for a photo of whent he office first spotted your car, and then another photo of the ticket being issued, they will drop the fine as they cannot prove it.

another way is sometimes in the photo's you can see pedestrians, claim to be one walking away from the car whcih would clearly indicate you having only jsut left the vehicle.

there are so many loopholes its un-real, double yellows with no "T" at the end of them, broken up lines (biggest mistake council make is painting over drain grates, this breaks the line and renders it useless)

ive had 8 parking tickets this year alone,

not paid one yet
