We've (i say we, i mean me really) have gone to the extremes of ordering a body ECU from a US IS300 to see if it works differently to the uk on and if we can get it to work, as the americans seem to have no problem, yet it wont work for us!

thats correct stav, all the uk models so far seem to not allow the drivers door lock to control the alarm but the Americans seem to allow the lock to but it seems very odd as all the wiring shows that all the cars are identical.....

i cant understand why they would change the modules from American to European models...

if the American body ECU allows it to activate the alarm then this is a step in the right direction...
