jimxms Indeed that would be the factory option. I'm making it my goal to at least whip a stock TT with my IS when it gets S/C'd though :p
I'm quite confident it will, and then some

purplewitch lol You say it like it's a drawback.. 2 doors is less detailing when you clean the thing (much welcome relief cos you're stiggered after doing all that bonnet), two useable seats restricts passengers, so very few people hassle you for lifts everywhere, the rear seat hold a handbag perfectly and even have little seatbelts so you're perfume isn't all shook up when you reach your destination, and the boot .. well less space, less room to accumulate junk ! (And no-one asks you to help them move house or take them to the airport lol ... It's a perfect car ! .. (ok for the unhelpful, unfriendly, unsociable ... lol )

Obviously there's lots of other factors to consider. But I'm hoping that in 'bolt-on' form I'll be putting down 305rwhp. The IS300 apparently weighs 1483kg and I've probably shaved off a further 30-40kg by ditching my spare and running forged wheels.

Only flaw in my plan is linear SC power vs kick up the ass Turbo power.

You'll have to find a stock TT first. I'm not sure they exist anymore Smile Also don't forget, if your book spec is 1483kg you can add another 150kg to that for the car in road-trim. Manufacturer weights are 'dry'.

With your calculation of 305rwhp, does that mean you're looking at a flywheel target of around 360?

That was comparing wikki for wikki, so I'm not sure how that pans out tbh.

Exactumundo. Previous owner of kit made 305rwhp on a bone stock IS300 with 115k miles on it in some rather hot Californian weather.

I'm hoping to make the same or more for obvious reasons (cams, tuned camgear, exhaust).

You're on.

(p.s: am I allowed to remove my rear seats? Only fair right?) :p

Jim, you given up on the previous idea of running NOS then?

IS200 Sport - Sold
Mazda 6 MPS - Zoom Zoom!

Modifications
Completed:

Currently 280bhp/295lbft; 3" Meercat custom exhaust; KW Suspension; FMIC; SSP; HPFP; Custom Stainless Steel Dials - for the moment, the only set in the world!! (Till the group buy for MPSOC anyway  )

In Progress:

E-Tuning remap ongoing via Cobb Accessport; Braided brake lines; Stubby aerial; Tinted repeaters and sidelights; 3 Port Boost Control Solenoid; 3" HTP Intake

I never said that :p

I'm currently reading up on the benefits of spraying a dry shot into a supercharger. Apparently it cools the intake temps significantly to the point where you can get away with a much less restrictive intercooler. Its also MUCH easier to install than a wet shot kit.
