sep ive repaired worse. get an inner wing out of a scrapper and get it welded in their.

It's certainly possible. Though it would be inner wing, outer wing, bumper, bonnet, headlight, fog light, for starters. Plus spraying unless I can find mint ones in Plat Ice. That is assuming the chassis and suspension are all still straight and true. Plus some bits in the engine bay would need replacing too.

Though this would be many months off even starting. My attention and funds at the moment are prioritised to the IS200 I am currently running as a daily driver.

Confusedad: It was a tough call to make, but the Supercharged IS200 is being retired. Confusedad:

Yeah, me too. That was the original point of the post afterall, got slightly off topic since. Gotta love the sound of it too. I didn't wanna rev it above about 3-4k, as was trying to be gentle to the old girl. I moved it a short distance (to get within reach of a much needed hose!) and although the disks were obviously rusty, the callipers were not seized at all. I was impressed.

A few years ago, I had a Celica start just as easily after nearly that amount of time, but seem to have trouble with European cars after a month or two!

No real reason why it should not start, even after standing all that time.
I would expect the battery to need replacing but that would be all that would stop it

Oh I expected it would start, so the title may not have been the best choice! But I was still impressed by how easily it sprung into life, with minimal cranking, and how it sounded to be running very smoothly (Lexus I spose!) I have had other cars stand for far less time that needed a lot of cranking and right foot to "clear out the pipes" and get going, and then ran a roughly at first, but it gave me none of that, just what you see in the video. I was impressed too that the callipers did not seem seized to the disks at all, and also that the tyres were all above 20psi!

Good to see you back on the forum Phil. Hope you are mending well.
