Get some pics of it working then :-p
The best way to hold the screen in is a bracing bar across the back of the screen, don't try gluing it in place as the glue can become unstuck in the summer heat.

Checklist:
- Have you had the unit apart? If so, make sure the position sensor is in it's runner
- Check the contacts for continuity, borrow a multimeter if you can?
- Power up the unit outside the car from an external power supply to rule out dodgy wiring in the car's loom.
- Have the switches on the lid of the unit been plugged back in? As they need to be removed when you take the unit apart, I forgot that once myself.
