The best way to hold the screen in is a bracing bar across the back of the screen, don't try gluing it in place as the glue can become unstuck in the summer heat.

Get some pics of it working then :-p

Does anyone know what motor the unit uses to open and close the screen and where can I get one from?

It is but I'm not paying £200 for it,its only a simple motor so was wondering if maplins or someone did one,cos its either the board or motor gone in mine.

What's the best way to test the motor and the board separately?

Ok so tested the motor and that's fine which means the board if fecked, how can I re-wire it so it by passes the board so it opens and closes

I'd be very surprised if there is anything wrong with the board itself...

Checklist:
  • Have you had the unit apart? If so, make sure the position sensor is in it's runner
  • Check the contacts for continuity, borrow a multimeter if you can?
  • Power up the unit outside the car from an external power supply to rule out dodgy wiring in the car's loom.
  • Have the switches on the lid of the unit been plugged back in? As they need to be removed when you take the unit apart, I forgot that once myself.

So far I've powered the unit up as a whole and nothing,
Tested the motor seperately and that's working,
Just can't get the board out properly to see what's wrong
