Cheers for the comments.
I'm really happy with the way its coming together.
Will be working on it again over this weekend, as I've recieved the leatheret material and a few other bit.
I should be picking up the subs, amp and power cap next weekend on the 7th.
I have been plying around with side plates to see where I can mount extra bits and pieces... Might see if I can squeze some 6" componants in there as well.
Good find mate and good price but don't bother with the power cap. They are useless and more of a farce than anything else really. The best thing you can do is make sure all your earthing is good so do the "Big 3" conversion. If you look it up especially on talkaudio.co.uk you'll find out plenty of information. Also, never heard of the amp, do you know what its actual RMS ratings are @ 14.4 volts? What is it fused to? This is a good way of finding out the actual capability of an amp. There's a calculation for it but I don't remember it now but as an indication, if fused to 90amps then you're looking at an approx. power rating of 1200watts rms.
Just to keep you all in the loop...
I've been working with a mate all day today, getting ready for the install.
4 gauge power and earth line has been fitted with a fresh 100 Amp fuse.
the sub box and top section for the horn tweeters has now been re-upholstered and look great in the new leatherette material.
the horn tweeters are a ****** to fit as the magnet of the horn is bigger than the cutout needed to fit the unit lol.
anyways.. as pictures say 1000 words... here she is.
Plans have changed slightly with the amp front... i have decided to ditch the crunch... and go for a Vibe Blackbox BASS 4 Mono amp.
Here are the specs for the vibe amp.
The only trouble is that its too big to fit where i wanted it to..
so im hatching another plan.
il be posting up more pics with my progress.
cheers for looking
